Swab your cheeks, save a life!

197 people joined the blood stem cell registry to become potential lifesavers at ArtsGoggle 2022. This past March, one of those people gave a 2 year old girl a second chance at life. Here is your chance to do the same!

Meet Ava

Ava is the sweetest little girl. She is creative and loves to express herself through art. She loves to ask questions and is constantly wondering about the world around her. Those things have held true through the course of her treatment. She has remained sweet, kind, and curious and has continued to see the positive in everything around her.

Ava was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on April 22, 2024. She had recurring headaches, fevers, and pain in her legs for a couple of weeks that led to a visit with her pediatrician but it was essentially chalked up to a possible virus. After an urgent care visit, Ava was said to have pneumonia and was given antibiotics. When her fever persisted, she returned to urgent care and was sent to the ER for bloodwork. A doctor came in and told Ava's parents that the oncologist was on their way to speak with them and from there things moved very quickly. After 5 months of various chemotherapy treatments and being on a clinical trial, Ava still hasn’t achieved remission. The doctors are now shifting gears towards a bone marrow transplant to cure her blood cancer and ultimately save her life.

This is where you come in. Joining the registry is a simple swab of your cheek to see if you are a match for Ava or a patient like her. If you are a match, you have the opportunity to donate stem cells or bone marrow to save the life of the patient. You could change the course of someone's life- lifesaving starts with YOU!
